The Papua administration will send Rp 1 billion (US$ 100,000) in cash, and medicines worth Rp 200 million for earthquake victims in Padang and Jambi.
Henock Paruro, spokesperson of the administration, said on Tuesday that team led by the Papua Governor Barnabas Suebu had departed with the aid for Jakarta today.
“The team will go to Padang tomorrow morning to hand over the aid,” Henock said.
Besides aid from the administration, he added, the Batak community had submitted similar aid for the victims.
“This is part of our solidarity with our brothers who are suffering because of the quake,” he said.
